Please call me Keisha-Marie or Dr. Alridge, and I use they/them pronouns! I am a Black Queer person who does therapy remotely. As you or your child’s licensed psychologist, I will approach concerns with a foundation of consent, belief, and individualized consideration. I ask your willingness to tell me what is on your mind, experiment with new things, and feel through challenges as we develop our trust. We will collaborate and get to know each other through my relational and expressive style. I am committed to providing psychotherapy that supports you or your child to achieve what you or they want and need.
I honed my skills in supporting those with complex trauma, neurodivergence, autism, depression, anxiety/panic, disability, chronic ailments like long COVID, and folks in reductionist journeys, all in their marginalized bodies. I trained in school counseling, inpatient psychiatric care, neuropsychological evaluation, and facilitation of individual/group therapies at universities and private practices. My experience includes serving a diverse range of clients across ages, genders, sexualities, cultures, family structures, immigration statuses, socioeconomic backgrounds, and diagnoses.
Therapy is an opportunity to understand yourself better, how you are experienced by others, and to share a healing connection with another person. My therapeutic approach is an open space where people can express themselves freely through talk, play, movement, and fun. Moreover, I am an advocate who will use my power to support you.
If you are based in Illinois, clinicians in my practice offer neuropsychological evaluations, and as our Director of Operations, I would be happy to connect you and get your psychological testing process started.
I have random availability and an open waitlist! Just in case, please check your junk folder within 1-2 business days of contacting me.
