With over 20 years of experience in community mental health and direct service work, I approach therapy as a tool of liberation. Care for well-being fortifies relationships and sustained presence, disrupting the exploitative behaviors of individualism and isolation.
I offer my best in support of clients with, but not limited to, the following:
-seeing oneself clearly and holistically
-treating the past as compost rather than garbage
-proactive care for supportive relationships (with self, others and community), including conflict transformation
-actionable practices in service of distress tolerance, embodied discernment, sacred boundary/bridge making and emotional regulation and flexibility
-navigating significant transitions and/or sudden change
-multiple forms and expressions of grief & loss
-existential and/or Spiritual reflections, wonderings or anxieties
My stance as a therapist is compassionate, curious and inviting. I respect the vulnerability that therapy demands and treat this shared space with respect. Together we can shape a practice of care and tending that helps you grow.
