Hi there! I’m Dr. Andi (she/they) and I help activists, organizers, and caregivers who are burnt out from caring for everyone to reclaim access to justice and joy. I love working with fellow activists and organizers in managing compassion fatigue, challenging perfectionist and internal beliefs of “not doing enough,” and remaining grounded in values. With caregivers and parents, I specialize in working with folx in the perinatal period (including planning, pregnancy, postpartum) who are navigating the transitions to parenthood, bodily autonomy, the intersections of racial and medical trauma, and grief and loss.
I’m a queer, neurodivergent, Taiwanese American liberation psychologist who believes that healing happens in relationship with others — we don’t have to assimilate nor accept our oppressive conditions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in liberation psychology and disability justice, both of which aim to disrupt power hierarchies, prioritize interconnection, and promote leadership by those most marginalized in the face of oppression-based traumas.
Although I’m based in Los Angeles, I provide virtual psychotherapy to adults in English and Mandarin anywhere in California. I’m also a COVID-conscious therapist that still takes precautions to keep myself and others safe, and believe that we keep each other safe. I recognize how important it is to find someone you can trust with your care. If you’re looking for therapy that is always affirming, accepting, and authentic, we’ll probably be a great fit!
